'Gift' in the Bible

A man’s gift [given in love or courtesy] makes room for himAnd brings him before great men.

A gift in secret subdues anger,And a bribe [hidden] in the pocket, strong wrath.

Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents],Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
