'Goods' in the Bible
Or how can any one enter into the house of the strong man and plunder his goods, unless first he bind the strong man? and then he will plunder his house.
But no one can, having entered into his house, plunder the goods of the strong man unless he first bind the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
When the strong man armed keeps his own house, his goods are in peace;
And he said also to his disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and he was accused to him as wasting his goods.
But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return him fourfold.
And if I shall dole out all my goods in food, and if I deliver up my body that I may be burned, but have not love, I profit nothing.
For ye both sympathised with prisoners and accepted with joy the plunder of your goods, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better substance, and an abiding one.
