'Grant' in the Bible

He told them, "You will indeed drink from my cup. But it's not up to me to grant you a seat at my right hand or at my left. These positions have already been prepared for others by my Father."

Jesus told them, "You will drink from the cup that I'm going to drink and be baptized with the baptism with which I'm going to be baptized. But it's not up to me to grant you a seat at my right or my left. Those positions have already been prepared for others."

In that city there was also a widow who kept coming to him and saying, "Grant me justice against my adversary.'

yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice. Otherwise, she will keep coming and wear me out.'"

Won't God grant his chosen people justice when they cry out to him day and night? Is he slow to help them?

May the Lord grant mercy to the family of Onesiphorus, for he often took care of me and was not ashamed that I was a prisoner.
