'Grasp' in the Bible
Deliver me, my God, from the power of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and oppressive.
I will set no worthless or wicked thing before my eyes.I hate the practice of those who fall away [from the right path];It will not grasp hold of me.
Our fathers in Egypt did not graspthe significance of Your wonderful worksor remember Your many acts of faithful love;instead, they rebelled by the sea—the Red Sea.
Protect me from [the] {grasp} of [the] trap they have laid for me, and [from the] snares of evildoers.
Reach down from heaven;rescue me from deep water, and set me freefrom the grasp of foreigners
Set me free and rescue mefrom the grasp of foreignerswhose mouths speak lies, whose right hands are deceptive.
