'Happen' in the Bible
to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen.

So beware that what is said in the prophets does not happen to you:
And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,
I've had help from God to this day, and so I stand here to testify to both the powerful and the lowly alike, stating only what the prophets and Moses said would happen
"Therefore, Sirs, take courage; for I believe God, and am convinced that things will happen exactly as I have been told.
