'Host' in the Bible

Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:

“When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet, don’t recline at the best place, because a more distinguished person than you may have been invited by your host.

On the contrary, when you host a banquet, invite those who are poor, maimed, lame, or blind.

Then God turned away and gave them up to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets:House of Israel, did you bring Me offerings and sacrifices40 years in the wilderness?

Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus greet you.
