'Laid' in the Bible

So they each took his own censer and put fire on it and laid incense on it; and they stood at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle), with Moses and Aaron.

“We have shot them down [with arrows];Heshbon is destroyed as far as Dibon,And we have laid them waste as far as Nophah,Which reaches to Medeba.”

and Moses laid his hands on Joshua and commissioned him, just as the Lord had commanded through Moses.
