'Lake' in the Bible
On that day, when evening had come, He told them, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the sea.”
As the crowd was pressing in on Jesus to hear God’s word, He was standing by Lake Gennesaret.
He saw two boats at the edge of the lake; the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.
One day He and His disciples got into a boat, and He told them, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.” So they set out,
and as they were sailing He fell asleep. Then a fierce windstorm came down on the lake; they were being swamped and were in danger.
The demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned.
But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with him the false prophet, who had performed the signs in his presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image with these signs. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
The Devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
And anyone not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
But the cowards, unbelievers, vile, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars—their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
