'Languish' in the Bible

Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and languish for them all the day long; and there shall be no power in thy hand to help it.

“He who informs against friends for a share of the spoil,The eyes of his children also will languish.

My eyes languish on account of my affliction; all day long I call out to you, LORD, I spread out my hands to you.

The LORD planned to destroy the walls of cherished Zion. He measured them with his line. He did not withhold his hand from destruction. He made both ramparts and defensive walls mourn; they languish together.

He rebukes the sea, and it evaporates; he dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither, while the flowers of Lebanon languish.
