'Liar' in the Bible
You belong to your father the Devil, and you want to carry out the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and has never stood for truth, since there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
You don't know him, but I know him. If I were to say that I don't know him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him and keep his word.
Of course not! God is true, even if everyone else is a liar. As it is written, "You are right when you speak, and win your case when you go into court."
If we say that we have never sinned, we make him a liar and his word has no place in us.
The person who says, "I have come to know him," but does not continually keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth has no place in that person.
Who is a liar but the person who denies that Jesus is the Messiah? The person who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.
Whoever says, "I love God," but hates his brother is a liar. The one who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love the God whom he has not seen.
The person who believes in the Son of God believes this testimony personally. The person who does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony that he has given about his Son.
