'Memory' in the Bible
These days [are] to be remembered and [are] to be kept in every generation, and in family, province, and city; and these days of Purim are not [to be] neglected among the Jews, and their memory shall not come to an end among their offspring.
The enemies are destroyed [in] ruins forever, and you have uprooted [their] cities; their very memory has perished.
Let them be before Yahweh continually, that he may cut off their memory from [the] earth,
The memory of righteousness [is] like a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
For the living know that they will die, but the dead do not know anything. They no longer have a reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten.
[The] dead do not live; dead spirits do not rise because you have punished and destroyed them, and you have destroyed all memory of them.
