'Moon' in the Bible
"Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.
"But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;
"And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth nations will be in distress, anxious over the roaring of the sea and the surging waves.
The sun will be changed to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars, for star differs from star in glory.
Therefore do not let anyone judge you with respect to food or drink, or in the matter of a feast, new moon, or Sabbath days --

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God lights it up, and its lamp is the Lamb.
