'Opens' in the Bible

“The hungry devour his harvestAnd take it even [when it grows] among the thorns;The trap opens for [his] wealth.

“He lies down rich, but never will again;He opens his eyes, and it is gone.

Then He opens the ears of menAnd seals their instruction,

Job uselessly opens his mouthAnd multiplies words without knowledge [drawing the worthless conclusion that the righteous have no more advantage than the wicked].”

“He opens their ears to instruction and discipline,And commands that they return from evil.

“He rescues the afflicted in their affliction,And opens their ears [so that they pay attention to His voice] in times of oppression.
