'Opens' in the Bible

“The hungry devour his harvestAnd take it even [when it grows] among the thorns;The trap opens for [his] wealth.

He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more;when he opens his eyes, it is gone.

They waited for me as one waits for rain, as one opens his mouth to drink in a spring rain shower.

That's when he opens the ear of mankind, authenticating his messages to them,

Job opens his mouth in vainand multiplies words without knowledge.

He opens their ears to correctionand insists they repent from iniquity.
