'Parable' in the Bible
He presented them with another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a person who sowed good seed in his field.
He gave them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.
He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour until all the dough had risen."
Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the crowds; he did not speak to them without a parable.
Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him saying, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field."
But Peter said to him, "Explain this parable to us."
"Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a fence around it, dug a pit for its winepress, and built a watchtower. Then he leased it to tenant farmers and went on a journey.
"Learn this parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
