'Parents' in the Bible

And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and as the parents brought in the child Jesus that they might do for him according to the custom of the law,

And his parents went yearly to Jerusalem at the feast of the passover.

and had completed the days, as they returned, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, and his parents knew not of it;

And her parents were amazed; but he enjoined them to tell no one what had happened.

And he said to them, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left home, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

But ye will be delivered up even by parents and brethren and relations and friends, and they shall put to death some from among you,
