'Persons' in the Bible

And it happened that Jesus was reclining at the table in Levi’s house, and many tax collectors and sinners [including non-observant Jews] were eating with Him and His disciples; for there were many of them and they were following Him.

And he could not do any work of power there, save that laying his hands on a few infirm persons he healed them.

And certain persons rose up and bore false witness against him, saying,

and at this time a man named Barabbas was in prison among the insurgents--persons who in the insurrection had committed murder.
