'Saying' in the Bible

not to be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of Christ had come.

Do you not remember that [while] we were still with you, we were saying these [things] to you?

For even when we were with you we gave you orders, saying, If any man does no work, let him not have food.
