'Sayings' in the Bible
With him I speak mouth to mouth,Even openly, and not in dark sayings,And he beholds the form of the Lord.Why then were you not afraidTo speak against My servant, against Moses?”
“Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes,Your defenses are defenses of clay.
I will open my mouth in a parable;I will utter dark sayings of old,
To know wisdom and instruction,To discern the sayings of understanding,
At the head of the noisy streets she cries out;At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings:
My son, if you will receive my wordsAnd treasure my commandments within you,
Hear, my son, and accept my sayingsAnd the years of your life will be many.
These also are sayings of the wise.To show partiality in judgment is not good.
