'Scoffers' in the Bible
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,Nor stand in the path of sinners,Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
“How long, O naive ones, will you love being simple-minded?And scoffers delight themselves in scoffingAnd fools hate knowledge?

Therefore, hear the word of the Lord, O scoffers,Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem,
And now do not carry on as scoffers,Or your fetters will be made stronger; For I have heard from the Lord God of hostsOf decisive destruction on all the earth.
On the day of our king, the princes became sick with the heat of wine;He stretched out his hand with scoffers,
‘Behold, you scoffers, and marvel, and perish; For I am accomplishing a work in your days,A work which you will never believe, though someone should describe it to you.’”
