'Silent' in the Bible
Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this:“He was led as a sheep to slaughter;And as a lamb before its shearer is silent,So He does not open His mouth.
But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to James and the brethren.” Then he left and went to another place.
All the people kept silent, and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul as they were relating what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.
And the Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent;
And since he would not be persuaded, we fell silent, remarking, “The will of the Lord be done!”
