'Snares' in the Bible

The cords of Sheol surrounded me;The snares of death confronted me.

“Therefore snares surround you,And sudden dread terrifies you,

So that godless men would not ruleNor be snares of the people.

Upon the wicked He will rain snares;Fire and brimstone and burning wind will be the portion of their cup.

Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me,And from the snares of those who do iniquity.

The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life,To turn aside from the snares of death.

The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,That one may avoid the snares of death.

Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse;He who guards himself will be far from them.

And I discovered more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, whose hands are chains. One who is pleasing to God will escape from her, but the sinner will be captured by her.

May an outcry be heard from their houses,When You suddenly bring raiders upon them;For they have dug a pit to capture meAnd hidden snares for my feet.
