'Stirs' in the Bible

“As an eagle that protects its nest,That flutters over its young,He spread out His wings and took them,He carried them on His pinions.

“He stirred up the sea by His power,And by His understanding He smashed [proud] Rahab.

Hatred stirs up strife,But love covers and overwhelms all transgressions [forgiving and overlooking another’s faults].

A hot-tempered man stirs up strife,But he who is slow to anger and patient calms disputes.

An arrogant and greedy man stirs up strife,But he who trusts in the Lord will be blessed and prosper.

An angry man stirs up strife,And a hot-tempered and undisciplined man commits many transgressions.

“Sheol below is excited about you to meet you when you come [you tyrant of Babylon];It stirs up the spirits of the dead [to greet you], all the leaders of the earth;It raises all the kings of the nations from their thrones [in astonishment at your fall].

For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord of hosts is His name.
