20 Bible Verses about Work Ethic

True is the saying; and these things I desire that thou affirm earnestly, that they who have believed in God may be careful to practise good works. These things are good and profitable to men;

that ye may not become slothful, but imitators of those who through faith and endurance inherit the promises.

God is a spirit; and they who worship must worship in spirit and in truth.

Now to him that performeth works, the reward is not accounted a matter of grace, but of debt;

They profess that they know God, but by their works they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and for every good work reprobate.

A man that stirs up divisions, after a first and second admonition, avoid;

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into the mountain; and when he had sat down, his disciples came to him.

but avoid foolish questionings, and genealogies, and strifes, and contentions about the Law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

casting down reasonings, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every purpose into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
