'Takes' in the Bible
“Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever takes an oath by the sanctuary, it means nothing. But whoever takes an oath by the gold of the sanctuary is bound by his oath.’
Also, ‘Whoever takes an oath by the altar, it means nothing. But whoever takes an oath by the gift that is on it is bound by his oath.’
Therefore, the one who takes an oath by the altar takes an oath by it and by everything on it.
The one who takes an oath by the sanctuary takes an oath by it and by Him who dwells in it.
And the one who takes an oath by heaven takes an oath by God’s throne and by Him who sits on it.
“You know that the Passover takes place after two days, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”
These are the ones along the path where the word is sown: when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word sown in them.
If anyone hits you on the cheek, offer the other also. And if anyone takes away your coat, don’t hold back your shirt either.
Give to everyone who asks you, and from one who takes your things, don’t ask for them back.
The seed along the path are those who have heard and then the Devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
But when one stronger than he attacks and overpowers him, he takes from him all his weapons he trusted in, and divides up his plunder.
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from My Father.”
Everything the Father has is Mine. This is why I told you that He takes from what is Mine and will declare it to you.
For at the meal, each one eats his own supper ahead of others. So one person is hungry while another gets drunk!
Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ.
No one takes this honor on himself; instead, a person is called by God, just as Aaron was.
He then says, See, I have come to do Your will. He takes away the first to establish the second.
I am coming quickly. Hold on to what you have, so that no one takes your crown.
And if anyone takes away from the words of this prophetic book, God will take away his share of the tree of life and the holy city, written in this book.
