Blow [the] trumpet in Zion, and sound the alarm on {my holy mountain}! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of Yahweh [is] coming --[it is] indeed near.

"For the day of Yahweh [is] near against all the nations! Just as you have done, it will be done to you. Your deeds will return on your [own] head.

The great day of Yahweh draws near; [it is] near and [coming] very swiftly. The sound of the day of Yahweh [is] bitterness; there, a warrior cries out!

But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your life is demanded from you, and [the things] which you have prepared--whose will they be?'

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not think [he will come]."

Let your gentleness be made known to all people. The Lord [is] near.

Brothers, do not complain against one another, in order that you may not be judged. Behold, the judge stands before the doors!

Now the end of all [things] draws near. Therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for [your] prayers.

And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near!

A day of darkness and gloom, a day of cloud and thick darkness, like the dawn spreads on the mountains, a great and strong army! There has been nothing like it from old, and after it nothing will be again {for generations to come}.

and swore by the one who lives {forever and ever}, who created heaven and the [things] in it, and the earth and the [things] in it, and the sea and the [things] in it, "There will be no more delay!

And another second angel followed, saying, "Fallen, fallen [is] Babylon the great, who caused all the nations to drink from the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality."

You also be patient. Strengthen your hearts, because the coming of the Lord is near.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his slaves [the things] which must take place in a short time, and communicated [it] [by] sending [it] through his angel to his slave John,

I am coming quickly! Hold fast to what you have, so that no one may take away your crown.

"And behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed [is] the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." And I, John, [am] the one who heard and who saw these [things]. And when I heard and saw [them], I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed these [things] to me. And he said to me, "{Do not do that!} I am your fellow slave, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!"read more.
And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near! The one who does evil, let him do evil still, and the defiled, let him be defiled still, and the righteous, let him practice righteousness still, and the holy, let him be holy still." "Behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward [is] with me, to repay each one according to [what] his deeds are!

If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!

And [do] this [because you] know the time, that [it is] already the hour for you to wake up from sleep. For our salvation [is] nearer now than when we believed. The night is far gone, and the day has drawn near. Therefore let us throw off the deeds of darkness and put on the weapons of light.

and to await his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, the one who delivers us from the coming wrath.

looking forward to the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

so that you do not lack in any spiritual gift [as you] eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Therefore, {when you have prepared your minds for action} [by] being self-controlled, put your hope completely in the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

For our commonwealth exists in heaven, from which also we eagerly await a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

thus also Christ, having been offered once in order to bear the sins of many, will appear for the second time without reference to sin to those who eagerly await him for salvation.

For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and at that time he will reward each one according to {what he has done}. Truly I say to you, that there are some of those standing here who will never experience death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

And [as] he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came up to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these [things] happen, and what [will be] the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" And Jesus answered [and] said to them, "Watch out that no one deceives you! For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will deceive many.read more.
And you are going to hear about wars and rumors of wars. See to it that you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise up against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in [various] places. But all these [things] [are] the beginning of birth pains. "Then they will hand you over to persecution and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations because of my name. And then many will be led into sin and will betray one another and will hate one another, and many false prophets will appear and will deceive many, and because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end--this person will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. "So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken about by the prophet Daniel standing in the holy place" (let the one who reads understand), "then those in Judea must flee to the mountains! The one who is on his housetop must not come down to take things out of his house, and the one who is in the field must not turn back to pick up his cloak. And woe to those {who are pregnant} and to those who are nursing [their babies] in those days! But pray that your flight may not happen in winter or on a Sabbath. For at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not happened from the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will happen. And unless those days had been shortened, {no human being would be saved}. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened. "At that time if anyone should say to you, 'Behold, here [is] the Christ,' or 'Here [he is],' do not believe [him]! For false messiahs and false prophets will appear, and will produce great signs and wonders in order to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have told you ahead of time! Therefore if they say to you, 'Behold, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out, [or] 'Behold, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe [it]! For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. "And immediately after the tribulation of those days, 'the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken.' And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect together from the four winds, from [one] end of heaven to the [other] end of it. "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer [is] near. So also you, when you see all these [things], know that he is near, at the door. Truly I say to you that this generation will never pass away until all these [things] take place!

Truly I say to you that this generation will never pass away until all these [things] take place!

But [when] these [things] begin to happen, stand up straight and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near!"

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places; but if not, I would have told you, because I am going away to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, so that where I am, you may be also.read more.
