'Telling' in the Bible
telling [them], "Say 'His disciples came during the night [and] stole him [while] we were sleeping.'
for he was teaching his disciples and was telling them, "The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And [when he] is killed, after three days he will rise."
And Peter said, "Lord, are you telling this parable for us, or also for everyone?"
Now Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the [mother] of James and the others with them were telling these [things] to the apostles.
But because I am telling the truth, you do not believe me.
Who among you convicts me concerning sin? If I am telling the truth, {why} do you not believe me?
From now [on] I am telling you before [it] happens, in order that when [it] happens you may believe that I am [he].

His disciples said, "Behold, now you are speaking {plainly} and are telling [us] no figurative saying!

So they were sent on their way by the church, [and] passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, telling in detail the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy to all the brothers.
(Now all the Athenians and the foreigners who stayed there used to spend [their] time in nothing else than telling something or listening to something new.)
but saying farewell and telling [them], "I will return to you again [if] God wills," he set sail from Ephesus.

envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, [things] which I am telling you [in advance], just as I said before, that the ones who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
And he deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs that it has been granted to him to perform on behalf of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who has the wound of the sword and [yet] lived.
