'Tired' in the Bible
Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am tired of living because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob takes a wife from the daughters of Heth, like these, from the daughters of the land, what good will my life be to me?”
Do you not know? Have you not heard?The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earthDoes not become weary or tired.His understanding is inscrutable.
Though youths grow weary and tired,And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the LordWill gain new strength;They will mount up with wings like eagles,They will run and not get tired,They will walk and not become weary.
“You were tired out by the length of your road,Yet you did not say, ‘It is hopeless.’You found renewed strength,Therefore you did not faint.
“If you have run with footmen and they have tired you out,Then how can you compete with horses?If you fall down in a land of peace,How will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?
“You who have forsaken Me,” declares the Lord,“You keep going backward.So I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;I am tired of relenting!
