'Transgression' in the Bible
When there are many words, transgression and offense are unavoidable,But he who controls his lips and keeps thoughtful silence is wise.
An evil man is [dangerously] ensnared by the transgression of his lips,But the righteous will escape from trouble.
He who loves transgression loves strife and is quarrelsome; He who [proudly] raises his gate seeks destruction [because of his arrogant pride].
Good sense and discretion make a man slow to anger,And it is his honor and glory to overlook a transgression or an offense [without seeking revenge and harboring resentment].
By his wicked plan an evil man is trapped,But the righteous man sings and rejoices [for his plan brings good things to him].
When the wicked are in authority, transgression increases,But the righteous will see the downfall of the wicked.
An angry man stirs up strife,And a hot-tempered and undisciplined man commits many transgressions.
