'Troubles' in the Bible
Then My anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide My face from them, and they will be consumed, and many evils and troubles will come upon them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Is it not because our God is not among us that these evils have come upon us?’
Then it shall come about, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify before them as a witness (for it shall not be forgotten from the lips of their descendants); for I know their intent which they are developing today, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.”
“From six troubles He will deliver you,Even in seven evil will not touch you.
The troubles of my heart are enlarged;Bring me out of my distresses.
I will rejoice and be glad in Your lovingkindness,Because You have seen my affliction;You have known the troubles of my soul,
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard himAnd saved him out of all his troubles.
The righteous cry, and the Lord hearsAnd delivers them out of all their troubles.
You who have shown me many troubles and distressesWill revive me again,And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
For my soul has had enough troubles,And my life has drawn near to Sheol.
He who troubles his own house will inherit wind,And the foolish will be servant to the wisehearted.
He who profits illicitly troubles his own house,But he who hates bribes will live.
He who guards his mouth and his tongue,Guards his soul from troubles.
“Because he who is blessed in the earthWill be blessed by the God of truth;And he who swears in the earthWill swear by the God of truth;Because the former troubles are forgotten,And because they are hidden from My sight!
