'Workers' in the Bible
The sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er the father of Lecah and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of the linen workers at Beth-ashbea;
Further, you have workmen in abundance: stonecutters and stonemasons and carpenters, and all men who are skillful in every kind of work.
“Does not tragedy fall [justly] on the unjustAnd disaster to those who work wickedness?
Who goes in company with those who do evilAnd walks with wicked men?
Depart from me, all you who do evil,For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
Have all the workers of wickedness and injustice no knowledge,Who eat up my people as they eat bread,And do not call upon the Lord?
Do not drag me away with the wickedAnd with those who do evil,Who speak peace with their neighbors,While malice and mischief are in their hearts.
There those who [are perverse and] do evil have fallen;They have been thrust down and cannot rise.
Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?Who will take a stand for me against those who do wickedness?
But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways [in unresponsiveness to God],The Lord will lead them away with those who do evil.Peace be upon Israel.
The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the upright,But it is ruin to those who do evil.
The workers of the city, from all the tribes of Israel shall cultivate it.
Greet those workers in the Lord, Tryphaena and Tryphosa. Greet my beloved Persis, who has worked hard in the Lord.
