'Wretched' in the Bible

The people spoke against God and Moses: “Why have you led us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!”

For he did not think to show kindness,but pursued the afflicted, poor, and brokenheartedin order to put them to death.

What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this dying body?
