'Bear Witness' in the Bible

He came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him.

He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.

and he had no need for anyone to bear witness of man, for he knew what was in man.

"If I bear witness of myself, my testimony is not true.

But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father has given me to finish, these very works which I am doing, bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.
