All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authoritiesall things were created through him and for him.

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the world.

For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, 'They shall never enter my rest,'" although his works were finished from the foundation of the world.

By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me may be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

For I am confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

and you have been made complete in him, who is the head over all rule and authority.

Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy lives and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by fire, and the elements will melt with intense heat!

Then he left the crowd and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field." and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Therefore as the weeds are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil, and will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.' "Then he will say to those on his left hand, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power, when he comes to be glorified in his saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believedbecause our testimony to you was believed.
