But [in apparent contradiction of all this] You [the faithful Lord] have cast off and rejected;
You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.

You sweep them away [like a flood]. They fall asleep. In the morning [they are] like grass [that] sprouts anew.

no evil will fall upon you, and no affliction will approach your tent,

They will lift you up in their hands, so you will not slip and fall on a stone.

For the LORD will not fail his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Let the sea roar, and all the things it contains;


Let all those be [deeply] ashamed who serve carved images,
Who boast in idols.
Worship Him, all you gods!
