If any one deems himself to be a Prophet or a man with spiritual gifts, let him recognize as the Lord's command all that I am now writing to you.
Now I make known unto you brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, wherein also ye stand,
then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep;
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
for "God has put everything under his feet." Now when he says, "Everything has been put under him," this clearly excludes the one who put everything under him.
Now it is not the spiritual which is first, but the animal, and then the spiritual.
As is the earthly man [the man of dust], so are those who are of earth; and as is the heavenly [Man], so are those who are of heaven.
And just as we [now] appear [in both a physical and spiritual body] like the man who came from dust [i.e., Adam]; we will also [someday] appear [in both a physical(?) and spiritual body] like the man who came from heaven [i.e., Christ].
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Death has been swallowed up

Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin the law;

Now I rejoice over the arrival of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because these make up for your absence,
Now I would like you to know about the distress which befell me in Asia, brothers. I was crushed, crushed far more than I could stand, so much so that I despaired even of life;
Now we are writing nothing to you other than what you can read and also understand. I hope you will understand completely—
in this confidence I purposed to visit you before now, (that you might have again the like satisfaction)
So then, was I indecisive or capricious when I was [originally] planning this? Or the things I plan, do I plan

Now I appeal to God as my witness, that to spare you I did not come again to Corinth.
Now if any one has caused sorrow, it has been caused not so much to me, as in some degree--for I have no wish to exaggerate--to all of you.
so instead [of further rebuke, now] you should rather [graciously] forgive and comfort and encourage him, to keep him from being overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Now who is qualified for such a task? I am, for I am not a peddler of God's message, like the most of them, but like a man of sincerity, like a man that is sent from God and living in His presence, in union with Christ I speak His message.
Now we possess such confidence through Christ toward God.

Now we make known to you, brothers, the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia,
With earnest entreaty they begged from us the favour of being allowed to share in the service now being rendered to God's people.
This led us to urge Titus that, as he had previously been the one who commenced the work, so he should now go and complete among you this act of beneficence also.
But just as you excel in everything, [and lead the way] in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in genuine concern, and in your love for us, see that you excel in this gracious work [of giving] also.
I give you my opinion in this matter: this is to your advantage, who were the first to begin a year ago not only to take action [to help the believers in Jerusalem], but also [the first] to desire to do it.
Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
It is not my mind that other be set at ease, and ye brought into cumbrance: but that there be equalness now at this time,
But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.
now as to Titus, he is my collegue, and assists me in your affairs: as to our brethren, they are the deputies of the churches, and the glory of the christian profession.
Now it is unnecessary for me to write to you about the offering [that is to be made] for the saints [in Jerusalem];
Now I have sent the brothers so that our boasting about you in this matter may not prove to be an idle boast, and so that you may stand ready, just as I said.
Now [the point is] this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
now I ask [when I] am present [that I will] not [need] to be bold with the confidence [with] which I propose to show boldness toward some who consider us as behaving according to the flesh.
And being in readiness to avenge all disobedience, now your obedience is fulfilled.
Now we will not boast out of measure, but according to the measure of the rule which the God of measure has apportioned to us, to reach to you also.
Now we are not going too far in claiming you as part of our outreach, since we were the first ones to come to you with the Gospel of Christ.
I don't assume to myself the credit of other men's labours in another province, but hope, that when your faith is increased, the bounds now prescribed will be enlarged by you yet farther;

[Note: Paul is probably saying, sarcastically, "We are too 'weak' to take financial advantage of people and mistreat them the way those 'super apostles' there in Corinth were doing"]. Yet, in whatever [matters] anyone [there] dares to boast about, (now I am really speaking foolishly), I will dare to boast also.
Are they servants of Christ? (I am really talking like a crazy person now). I am more [of a servant, than they are]. I have worked much harder. I have been in prison more often. I have been flogged more severely. I have been in danger of death more frequently.
Have not I reason to glory? for now I shall mention my visions and revelations from the Lord.
For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
Now I have become foolish; you have forced me [by questioning my apostleship]. Actually I should have been commended by you [instead of being treated disdainfully], for I was not inferior to those
Now for the third time I am ready to visit you. I will not burden you [financially], because I do not want what is yours [not your money or your possessions], but you. For children are not responsible to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.
Now I shall most gladly spend and be utterly spent for your souls, if even in abundantly loving you I should be less loved.
that again when I come my God would humble me before you, and I would mourn for many of those who have sinned before now, and not repented of the uncleanness and sexual immorality and lustfulness which they committed.
