But we desire that each one of you show the same diligence until the end for the fulfillment of your hope,


that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us, which we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters even into that which is within the veil,

And when they had taken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea and loosed the rudder bands and hoisted up the mainsail to the wind and made toward shore.

Then fearing lest we should fall upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern and wished for the day. And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,

by a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;



And after the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,
