For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD; thou art my security from my youth.

Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God, our Saviour and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,

O the hope of Israel, the Keeper thereof in time of trouble, why should thou be as a stranger in the land and as a wayfaring man that turns aside to tarry for a night?

O hope of Israel! LORD, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed; and those that depart from me shall be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

And it shall be in that day that the Root of Jesse, who shall be lifted up as a banner, as an example to the Gentiles shall be sought by the Gentiles; and his Kingdom of peace shall be glorious.

For this we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

who by him do believe God, who raised him up from the dead and has given him glory: that your faith and hope might be in God.

Behold, what charity the Father has given us, that we should be called the sons of God; therefore the world does not know us, because it does not know him. Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be; but we know that if he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every one that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
