Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God, our Saviour and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,
O the hope of Israel, the Keeper thereof in time of trouble, why should thou be as a stranger in the land and as a wayfaring man that turns aside to tarry for a night?
O hope of Israel! LORD, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed; and those that depart from me shall be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
He shall not tire nor faint until he has set judgment in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his law.
For this cause therefore I have called for you, to see you and to speak with you: because for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall wait for salvation. And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit.

For this we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be; but we know that if he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every one that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
