He has hedged me in, that I cannot get out: he has made my chain heavy.

You have hedged me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me.


There is no man that has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither has he power in the day of death: and there is no release from that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.



You put my feet also in the stocks, and watch closely all my paths; you set a bound to the soles of my feet.

He has fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he has set darkness in my paths.


And his disciples said unto him, From where should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude? And Jesus said unto them, How many loaves have you? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.


And she said, As the LORD your God lives, I have not bread, but a handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a jar: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and prepare it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

Neither shall you swear by your head, because you can not make one hair white or black.




And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for you? tell me, what have you in the house? And she said, Your handmaid has not anything in the house, except a pot of oil.


For a friend of mine in his journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?


Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God has hedged in?
