Humbleness » The reward for humbling yourself
And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me, I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies. Therefore be lowered under the mighty hand of God, so that he may lift you up in time,

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath. For the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall grow old like a garment, and those who dwell in it shall die in like manner. But my salvation shal Hearken to me, ye who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Fear ye not the reproach of men, nor be ye dismayed at their revilings.

But if thou judge law, thou are not a doer of law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver who is able to save and to destroy, but thou, who are thou who judge the other man?

Be ye sorrowful, and mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into a downcast look. Be ye made lower in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up.
