And LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

And ye killed the Pathfinder of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

nor is he served by the hands of men, as needing anything, since he himself gives to all life, and breath, with all things.

LORD kills, and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol, and brings up.

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

For thou formed my inward parts. Thou covered me in my mother's womb.

LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is. Let me know how frail I am.

Go now, men who say, Today and tomorrow we will go into this city, and will operate one year there, and will engage in trade and will get gain-- men who know not of the morrow. For what is your life? For it will be a vapor that appears for a little while, and then also vanishes away--

Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of LORD forever.

O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore years, yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it is soon gone, and we fly away.

O remember how short my time is, for what vanity thou have created all the sons of men!

So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.

My days are like a shadow that declines, and I am withered like grass.

Man is like vanity. His days are as a shadow that passes away.

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness of it is as the flower of the field. And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, because of the ground which LORD has cursed. And Lamech lived five hundred ninety-five years after he begot Noah, and begot sons and daughters. And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noah was five hundred years old. And Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died.

And Sarai was barren; she had no child. And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife. And they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan. And they came to Hara And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Haran.

Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand are riches and honor.

Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which LORD thy God gives thee.

For length of days, and years of life, and peace, they will add to thee.

For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

The fear of LORD prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

For he who wants to love life, and see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips not to speak deceit.

What man is he who desires life, and loves [many] days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking deceit.

He will yet fill thy mouth with laughter, and thy lips with shouting.

I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.

I loathe [my life]. I would not live always. Let me alone, for my days are vanity.
