Who himself bear up our sins in his body upon the wood, that we, removed from sins, should live to justice: by whose bloody mark ye were healed.

Brethren, truly my heart's delight and prayer to God for Israel is for salvation. For I testify for them that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. So also faith, if it have not works, is dead by itself. But certain will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith from my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: and the evil spirits believe, and shudder. And wilt thou know, O empty man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, having brought up Isaac his son upon the altar Thou seest that faith cooperated with his works, and from works was faith perfected.
