They brought unto him also babes, that he should touch them. When the disciples saw that, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, "Suffer children to come unto me, and forbid them not. For of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever receiveth not the kingdom of God, as a child: he shall not enter therein."

At that time, Jesus answered and said, "I praise thee, O father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast opened them unto babes,

That same time rejoiced Jesus in the holy ghost, and said, "I confess unto thee father Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast opened them to the babes. Even so, father, for so pleased it thee.

Brethren, look on your calling how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many of high degree are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise. And God hath chosen the weak things of the world, to confound things which are mighty. Jesus called a child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, "Verily, I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as children, ye cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven.
