Be of like affection one towards another. Be not high minded, but make yourselves equal to them of the lower sort. Be not wise in your own opinions.
Likewise, ye younger submit yourselves unto the elder. Submit yourselves every man, one to another. Knit yourselves together in lowliness of mind. For God resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the humble.
As for the scornful, he shall laugh them to scorn, but he shall give grace unto the lowly.
Where is then thy rejoicing? It is excluded. By what law? By the law of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Though some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, art graft in among them, and made partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree; boast not thyself against the branches.
