Give no offense to the Jews or the Greeks or the church of God,

But be careful that this right of yours in no way becomes a stumbling block to the weak.

I do not mean your own conscience, but the other person’s. For why is my freedom judged by another person’s conscience?

But the one by the slave was born according to the flesh, while the one by the free woman was born as the result of a promise. Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.

For some men, who were designated for this judgment long ago, have come in by stealth; they are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into promiscuity and denying Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.
