A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belongeth to the LORD thy God, the earth also, with all that it contains.

Who hath first benefited me, that I should repay him? whatever is under the whole heaven is mine.

And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say to them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Cesar's friend. Whoever maketh himself a king, speaketh against Cesar.

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy, and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said to him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said to them, Ye say that I am.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this who speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?

I and my Father are one.

Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me Philip? he that hath seen me, hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
