Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

And the spirit of the LORD will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not inquire wisely concerning this.
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsels:
Take ye wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.
The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man may labor to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yes further; though a wise man thinketh to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
