14 Bible Verses about Death Approaching

Isaac said: I am old. I do not know when I will die.

Then Jehovah said to Moses: Behold, the time for you to die is near. Call Joshua, and present yourselves at the tent of meeting, that I may commission him. So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the tent of meeting.

I saw in the night-visions someone like a SON OF MAN came with the clouds of heaven. He came to the Ancient of Days. They brought him near before him.

When the tent is to be moved, the Levites will take it down. When we camp, they will set it up. Anyone else who comes near the tent will be put to death.

So Bathsheba went to see the king in his bedroom. He was very old, and Abishag, the young woman from Shunem, was taking care of him.

When David was old and full of years, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.

Truly I tell you, the hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear (listen) (understand) will live.

Jesus wept.

David was about to die. He called his son Solomon and gave him his last instructions:

Joseph died in Egypt at the age of one hundred and ten. His body was embalmed and put in a coffin.

The days were approaching for his ascension. He was determined to go to Jerusalem.

Do not wonder about this for the hour is coming when everyone in the grave will hear his voice.

Before Joseph died, he told his brothers: I will not live much longer. God will take care of you. He will lead you out of Egypt to the land he promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

You saved me from death. You saved my eyes from tears and my feet from stumbling.
