He has not left himself without witness. For he did good and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. The witness of God is this, that he gave witness concerning his Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in him. He who does not believe God made him a liar because he does not believe the testimony God gives concerning his Son.
When God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he confirmed it with an oath.
Before Joseph died, he told his brothers: I will not live much longer. God will take care of you. He will lead you out of Egypt to the land he promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Jehovah your God is a merciful God. He will not forsake you. He will not destroy you, nor forget the covenant he made with your fathers.

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne.
He became a priest with an oath when God said to him: Jehovah has sworn and he will feel no regret, you are a priest forever. (Psalm 110:4)
Have I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed; for Jehovah your God is with you wherever you go.
Yet, he looked to the promise of God. He did not waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith. He gave the glory to God! He was fully assured that what he had promised, he was able to perform.
One of you can make a thousand men run away, because Jehovah your God is fighting for you, as he promised.
And now, Jehovah God, please do what you have promised. You will be famous for a very long time! Everyone will say: Jehovah of Hosts rules Israel. David's descendants are his chosen kings.
Now, Jehovah, let the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house be established from generation to generation. Do as you promised! It will be established and your name will be great forever. Then men will say: Jehovah of Hosts, the God over Israel, is Israel's God! And the house of your servant David will be established before you.
THANKS TO JEHOVAH! He has given his people Israel rest, as he has promised. None of the good promises he made through his servant Moses has failed to come true.
He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge. Respect for Jehovah is the key to this treasure.
You should be free from the love of money. Be content with what you have, for he has said: I will not leave you. I will not forsake you.
The man who endures under trial is blessed. For when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.
Listen, my dearly beloved brothers! Did God choose poor people in the world to be rich in faith and to receive the kingdom he promised to those who love him?

We are witnesses of all things that he did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a stake. God raised him up the third day and made him visible. However, all the people did not see him. Witnesses who were previously chosen by God saw him. We who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead saw him.
But God raised him from the dead: Those who came with him from Galilee to Jerusalem saw him. They are his witnesses to the people.
He was declared to be the Son of God with power through the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus did many miracles (signs) in the presence of the disciples. They are not written in this book. These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. By believing you may have life in his name.
God also testified about it with signs, wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit given according to his will.
These signs will accompany those who believe. They will cast out demons in my name. They will speak with new languages. They will pick up and handle serpents. Deadly drink will not hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.
You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men. It is known that you are a letter of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is not written on tablets of stone, but on tablets of flesh that are of the heart.
We preached the good news to you, not in words only but with power from Holy Spirit and with conviction of its truth. You know how we lived when we were with you. It was for your own good.
The Spirit itself (Greek:autos ho pneuma) (itself the Spirit) bears witness with our spirit (mind and heart), that we are children of God.
