I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And what I now live in flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.

Therefore of Christ having suffered in flesh for us, arm ye yourselves also with the same mentality, because he who has suffered in flesh has ceased from sin, in order to live the remaining time in flesh, no longer by lusts of men, but by the will of God.

And those of the Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and the lusts.

So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh to live according to flesh. For if ye live according to flesh, ye are going to die, but if in spirit ye kill the deeds of the body, ye will live.

It is necessary for that man to increase, but me to decrease.

disciplining us, so that, having denied irreverence and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and piously in the present age.
